LOWER BODY MASTERY
CERTIFICATION

Tucson, AZ — Advanced Functional Assessment Training

November 2025 • Tucson, Arizona

ADVANCING THE SCIENCE OF MOVEMENT: FREDDY EARNS LOWER BODY MASTERY CERTIFICATION

Freddy earned his Lower Body Mastery certification in Tucson under the expert guidance of Dr. Sean, Brendan, and Jeff. This intensive program took a deep dive into functional assessments, equipping practitioners with the tools to identify the true root causes of pain and movement limitations — starting from the ankle and working up through the entire kinetic chain.

"Assessing the body at every joint is vital for optimal movement. Pain rarely originates where you feel it — the source is often far from the symptom."

The certification featured live case studies that powerfully demonstrated the interconnected nature of the human body. In one session, a participant's neck misalignment was revealed to be the underlying cause of chronic knee pain due to poor alignment and tracking throughout the chain. Another case showed shoulder pain that actually originated from hip misalignment, while a third study uncovered how a twisted pelvis was contributing to weakness and instability in the shoulder.

These real-world demonstrations reinforced a fundamental principle: the body operates as a unified system. Addressing symptoms in isolation often misses the bigger picture. By assessing every joint and understanding how movement compensations cascade through the kinetic chain, practitioners can deliver more effective, lasting results for their clients.

Freddy is now bringing these advanced assessment techniques to all current and future clients — offering a deeper, more comprehensive approach to identifying and resolving pain, improving mobility, and optimizing performance.

KEY CASE STUDY FINDINGS

Neck → Knee Connection

A cervical misalignment was causing chronic knee pain through poor tracking and compensatory movement patterns down the kinetic chain.

Hip → Shoulder Link

Shoulder pain traced back to a hip misalignment, demonstrating how lower body dysfunction can manifest as upper body symptoms.

Pelvis → Shoulder Weakness

A twisted pelvis was identified as the root cause of shoulder weakness, proving the importance of full-body kinetic chain assessment.

UPPER BODY MASTERY
CERTIFICATION

Sacramento, CA — 24-Hour Live Immersion

October 2025 • Sacramento, California

UPPER BODY MASTERY: A 24-HOUR LIVE IMMERSION IN ASSESSMENT & CORRECTIVE EXERCISE

A recent three-day, 24-hour live immersion led by Kinesiologist Brandon Fox and Dr. Sean delivered an intensive experience focused on practical case studies and professional development.

During the Upper Body Mastery Certification, participants explored personal injuries and movement limitations while developing structured roadmaps to assess, identify, and modify dysfunctional patterns for long-term restoration. The program emphasized shoulder and neck function, targeting upper body pain and limitations linked to postural discrepancies such as upper crossed syndrome, while isolating and removing unrelated lower body factors.

"Through this process, attendees gained the ability to more accurately trace shoulder pain to its root cause — designing highly personalized prehabilitation and corrective exercise programs aimed at reducing pain and preventing injury caused by chronic imbalances."

Both instructors bring extensive experience working with NFL athletes and former Olympians, offering a high level of expertise throughout the training. Additional thanks were extended to Greg at Varimax Fitness in Sacramento for supporting training needs during the stay.

This certification represents the first in a planned series of three, with Lower Body Mastery and Core Mastery certifications to follow. Completion of the full series will lead to recognition as an Exercise Therapy Personal Trainer through the Exercise Therapy Association. The experience concluded with renewed inspiration, enhanced knowledge, and a comprehensive collection of protocols, assessments, and case studies — further supporting the mission to help clients move pain-free while understanding the root causes of their challenges.

KEY PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Upper Crossed Syndrome

Targeted postural discrepancies driving shoulder and neck pain, with protocols to isolate and correct dysfunctional upper body movement patterns.

Core Mastery Certification - London, England

CORE MASTERY
CERTIFICATION

London, England — Advanced Core & Spinal Assessment

April 2026 • London, England

CERTIFIED. REFINED. RECALIBRATED.

Freddy completed his Core Mastery certification through Exercise Therapy Association. This phase sharpened his ability to assess complex dysfunction across the kinetic chain, with emphasis on transverse trunk rotation, spinal alignment patterns, and lumbar segmental dysfunction patterns including compression, retrolisthesis, and spondylitic presentations.

The framework is built on layered functional assessment — each test narrowing contributing variables and directing clinical decision-making toward the primary driver of dysfunction.

"Identify the primary driver, apply a targeted corrective strategy, and implement forward with ongoing reassessment."

Through live case studies in London, UK, Freddy worked with high-complexity presentations involving global compensation across the trunk, pelvis, and shoulder systems. A consistent pattern emerged: local symptoms rarely reflect local causes, with repeated convergence toward the lumbopelvic–hip complex as a primary driver.

One advanced case involved persistent disc-related presentation in a medical professional, requiring integration of mechanical assessment, clinical history, and imaging to map contributing factors and guide intervention strategy.

This marks Freddy's third certification within the system. Each stage continues to sharpen his diagnostic clarity and expand his ability to address multi-segment dysfunction with precision. He will now complete final case study requirements for graduate status and formal recommendation as a Midwest regional pain specialist.

Freddy is grateful for time spent training in London with a high-level cohort of professionals committed to applied clinical reasoning and performance-based care. The standard continues to rise — and so does the expectation he places on his work at FreddyFit.

KEY PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Breathing & Intra-Abdominal Pressure

The program explored how diaphragm function and proper breathing mechanics create the pressure needed to stabilize the spine under load and during dynamic movement.

Deep Stabilizer Sequencing

Freddy developed the ability to assess and restore coordination of the deep core muscles — the foundation of pain-free movement and the missing piece in most traditional training programs.
